I am a native of Saint Louis and graduated with the class of 1987! Go Sharks! After graduation, I went to Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo. Go Broncos! It is here that I earned my Bachelors of Science in Elementary Education. I worked really hard and graduated with honors. While I was in college my parents moved from Saint Louis to Hartland, Michigan (near Ann Arbor). After graduating from Western, I opened my own tutoring business, As much as I loved doing that, I knew I needed to be in a classroom and that classroom had to be in my hometown of Saint Louis.
So, in 1994 I moved back to Saint Louis and started teaching at Nikkari Elementary as a 2nd grade teacher. I have had many teaching experiences at Saint Louis Public Schools. I have taught one year of 2nd grade, one year of 1st grade, 18 years of 4th grade and 3 years at 5th grade. I love being a teacher!
When I'm not in the classroom, I enjoy decorating, landscaping, shopping, traveling and spending time with my four legged children. I currently have 3 cats; Lucy, Harley, and Theodore Meow Meow (Teddy) I am a huge animal lover and spend most of my free time working and playing with them. I am also a huge dog lover, but do not have any at the time.
